Falling Leaves, Growing Up, Making Money, Big Days Busy Days Holidays, and School Adventures

Hello.
It has been awhile since I have written, but I have been busy doing so many different things.
So first, I'll start off with FALL! Yes... a true fall. Where the leaves are changing and it is getting chilly enough outside to wear a sweater. The smell of cold. Of winter. =) I love the winter, not only is my Birthday in December, but I also love snow, and wind, and icicles. I love wearing boots, and scarves and gloves. Although, where I live you only have a couple days where you can wear those things, I still love it. Probably because I grew up in the North and I really miss it. I miss waking up in the morning to fresh snow. I miss hot cocoa (not because I want it, but because it makes you nice and warm). I miss a fireplace. A REAL one. With like wood and fire... not a picture where a heater is built in.

Secondly I will talk about Christopher. In what entries have I ever excluded him anyways... he is my life after all. He is doing really well. Growing up too fast if you ask me. He'll be 14 months November 9th.

Third I'll talk about work. Because that is what I usually always do anyways. =) I don't classify myself as a workaholic.. however; I do consider myself a mommy, student, employee all in one. I have to work to make money. Learn to learn how to work and make money. and being a mommy empties that paycheck that I've learned to work so hard for. Rue is going well. Holiday is FAST approaching, so a lot of new changes are happening. Again with the FALL and WINTER thing- I really like seeing WARM things in the store. Coats, Jackets, Slippers, Sweaters... ect. I haven't been working too much, but I average about 30-35 hours a week. In fact, because of that reason I haven't worked at Michaels in awhile. I'll be calling them tomorrow though and let them know what I can and can't work next week, so that I can be put on the schedule.

Also in big news about Friends, two of my good friends are getting married in November, which is also the same month that Chris and I got married almost 3 years ago. November 1st will be our 3 year anniversary. But anyways, My friend Stephanie is getting married to her fiance Jonathan November 5th. And my friend Trish is getting married to her fiance Stephen on November 12th. I wish them both the best of luck, joy, happiness in the world because they deserve it. (They've both been married before, and they both have children, so this will be a second (AND BETTER) time for them).

Halloween is right around the corner- Christopher is going to be Charlie Brown and I'm going to be a cat. Don't think Chris is dressing up though. Thanksgiving will then be coming up. We'll be going to both my parents and the in-laws again. We have such a BUSY November!!!

November 1st: Chris and my 3 year anniversary
November 5th: Stephanie and Jonathan's Wedding. Trish's Bachlorette Party that evening.
November 12th: Trish and Stephen's Wedding.
November 18th: Chris's 24th Birthday
November 23rd: Karl's Birthday (Chris's brother)
November 25th: Thanksgiving
November 26th: Deb's Birthday (My Sister)

And then it'll be December which is also HUGE!!!
December 3rd: Nicole's Baby Shower (Chris's Sister)
December 22nd: G. Susie's Birthday (My Grandma)
December 25th: Christmas
December 30th: My 24th Birthday (which is the day AFTER my pen-pal and former Kiwi friend Rebecca's (or Becca's) Birthday
December 31st: New Years Eve and also when Chris's sister's baby is due.

January 9th will also be another big day for me!!! =)
I'm starting anew with school. I was going to school for Nursing and still am- just further on in the future after Christopher starts school, so that I can prioritize and really be able to study biology. I signed up and changed my major today. I'm now going for an Associates Degree in Science with a Major in Human Services. I also withdrew from my Biology class today. Knowing I wasn't passing-- and knowing that I wouldn't be able to pass, I withdrew so that I would still have a chance to go into Nursing when I'm ready. But to no further ado-- My classes are:

HUS 209- 8:15-9:35am Tue. & Thur (Case Management)
HUS 230- 9:55-11:15am Tue. & Thur. (Interviewing Techniques)
PSY 208- Online (Human Sexuality)
SPC 205-Online (Public Speaking)

Sorry this was such a long entry, however; I hope you really enjoyed reading it. Hoping for some great blog entries in the future.

Punishment, Money, Questions to answer, Couponing, and Medications... Quite the combination!!!!

Sometimes it is so hard for me to punish Christopher =( He's only a baby in my eyes still, but it's not something I can ignore, because he'll grow up thinking it is right. Sometimes being a mommy is tough!!!! (and if you're wondering what I'm referring to when I say I had to punish Christopher... it is because we have a "webcam" for in his room, so that we can see him on our monitor-- and he decided to take the cord and start chewing on it, and tried ripping it away from the wall....) I had to pop his hand and say no no-- and he basically cried until his eyes were droopy =(  I know I'm an okay mommy, but just popping him makes me think of all those children that are abused by horrible people. I don't compare myself to that-- I just feel as if punishing my baby is a horrible thing to do. Do any other parents out there feel the same? What do you do to your child if he/she misbehaves?

Anyways... I worked at Michaels today 9:30-3:30 and they wanted me to stay till 7:30, and I was already hurting. (my back has been bugging me lately because of the weather change we have been having). I said no. I feel bad because we really need the money-- but I have been working left and right with Michaels and Rue, and trying to go to my Biology class. (Those that have facebook or twitter see my foursquare posts and they know I'm always either at Michaels or Rue). It's starting to wear me out, and I miss seeing and spending time with my son... but I know it's for the best if I want us to have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, and lights and tv, and internet.  Why does being a Grown-up have to be so hard?

Speaking of saving money-- I've been trying my hand at couponing. =) I love watching Extreme Couponers and sometimes some of their stocks piles make me sick!!! I can't fathom that much food, toiletries ect. But I really want to start, because I think that if Chris and I coupon I'd be able to quit Michaels, and just work at Rue. But like I said-- couponing takes lots of time and energy, research, and to be any good you need to understand what you are doing. So I'm thinking of doing a lot of research and starting. Does any one here coupon? Do you enjoy it? Do you have any advice for me on the easiest way to coupon???

Well this is all for now. I have taken some medication and Chris isn't home right now, so I'm just trying to stay awake until Christopher falls asleep. I always make sure that he is taken care of because I fall asleep, and I usually don't take medication when Chris isn't home-- but the pain was so bad I couldn't bear it anymore.

I hope everyone has had a nice Sunday!!!!
