New Blog!

Hello Everyone!

I decided to make a crafting blog, so that this blog will be only my mommy and life blog. It makes it cleaner :)

Here is my crafting blog: HERE

I know yesterday I said it would be my last blog post in February... but I just wanted to let you guys know about the new blog :)

Happy Last Day Of February! :)

Springtime, Healthcare, Doctor Appointments, New Shoes, and A February Farewell....

Hello Everyone :)

It has been awhile since I have done an entry on just the family (perhaps I should make a crafting blog too? I made one separate for the business, but maybe I should make a crafting one? would that be better for everyone?)

Little Man & His New Shoes--> If you click on this link it will bring you to Christopher & His New Shoes :) He wanted a video!

It has been super nice here in SC and the other day we went outside to play.
Christopher found some dandelions & sat down to pick one :)

Spring is just around the corner. Didn't we just start 2014???

Before I know it, it will be his 4th Birthday! (which I have already planned out :/

Chris and I got Christopher on Medicaid again (because we're a low income family) So this will make it easier for us when it comes time for him to go back to the doctor for his 4 year check-up (and shots)
I am also scheduling Christopher's first dental appointment! (Nothing really to worry about though, considering he wants to brush his teeth 3+ times a day :)) I'll be making that appointment as soon as I get our Medicaid card in.

Our car is still broken down, and we had to borrow money from the in-laws for now so that we can buy the part. We've saved almost $500 so far, we just need another $400. Car repairs are so expensive :(

Chris is doing well at Michaels, and they are supposed to be opening a new store in August. Chris is waiting for the job notice to be put up so that he can apply. He's not allowed to be management at the current store, because his mom works there and is management... so he would have to go to a different store. It isn't too much farther away, and he would be getting paid better! :)

As for me, I went to a different doctor yesterday in Florence. First time I have ever been to Florence. It took us an hour and 15 minutes to get there. My appointment was at 1pm but I didn't get to go in and see the doctor until 3pm! :( It was so busy! I'm not quite sure what all will be happening right now...:( I will relish the day that I can go and see a doctor who will fix me right the first time, so that I can move on... and get a job (full-time would be very nice)

This will be the last entry I have for February (2 more days and it will be March!!!)

Until Next Time...

Back In The Game---- Couponing....

Hello Everyone!
It has been awhile since I have done a couponing entry & I haven't really "couponed" a lot for the past few months, but I'm finally getting back started again & one of my big trips was Food Lion. The Other Was Kroger.

FOOD LION
This is one of the greatest deals I have seen on powerade in a VERY long time.
I did not get these items free, but I did get them at an impressive discount!
Here are 45 powerades for $10
Here's the breakdown:
ON SALE for .89c
Food Lion had a deal going on Buy 15 participating products get $10 off. We did multiple transactions throughout the week.

.89c X 15= $13.35-$10= $3.35
.89c X 45= 40.05- $30= $10.05 (.22c each)
Here is another deal I did at Food Lion a few days ago with the same promotion they had going on.
Here are 15 boxes of cakemix for  $4.85
Here's the breakdown:
ON SALE for .99c
Food Lion had a deal going on Buy 15 participating products get $10 off. This was of course 1 transaction.

.99c X 15= $14.85- $10= $4.85 (.32c each)

KROGER
I don't have a photo but I did save 54% this past week on groceries that included:
4 Alfredo sauces
6 bags of M & Ms
4 Hershey Bars
1 Bathroom Cleaner
1 Colgate Toothpaste
4 toothbrushes
1 Kroger Laundry Soap
3 yogurts
5 frozen meals
1 bag of frozen snacks
1 cinnamon rolls
7 loafs of bread
1 monster energy drink
2 bottles of tums
1 box of tampons
2 bags of frozen vegetables
1 box of cereal
1 bottle of syrup
2 bottles of toilet cleaner

I don't have my receipt to tell you what each thing cost original and on sale and what coupons I used, however; I did have a coupon for FREE toothpaste, FREE laundry soap, FREE cereal, and FREE bread :)

My total cost was: $127.00 w/tax
My total cost AFTER coupons and Sales was: $58.88
TOTAL SAVED: $69  or 54% :)
and if you look at it by how many items and the cost of each one= 48 items = $1.44 each item

A lady behind us decided to watch and even though the total didn't come down to $0.00 "like she saw on the tv" I was still happy to hear her say "Please do my grocery shopping!" :)

More couponing entries soon :)

Snow Days & Washi Tape Addictions....

Hey Everybody! :) We have had quite a surprising Snow Day! :) It apparently will be sticking around into Thursday. I love snow. What I don't like... is Ice (which is basically what we're getting).

Our 2nd Snow Day in SC :)

I took this pic with my phone around 9am this morning :)

I had a relaxing day, and even did a little bit of crafting :) Last night I ordered a TAB maker, a bigger sticker maker & some more pens. I have some exciting news to share--- but not yet ;) I've told quite a few people, but I haven't been able to blog about it yet. (NO! I am NOT pregnant) This is something I have been wanting to do for awhile, and I am so happy to have the support of my friends & family.

My Washi collection. (It is super small right now)

About once a week I go washi shopping at Michaels or I order online. I'm obsessed with washi tape.
It is tape. Colorful tape that you can write on or create with. I love using it for my planning or for my card making. They have all different kinds too. Right now I basically have the "basic" type of washi... although I did just buy the blue and white snowflake one yesterday :) I'm planning on doing a snow day scrapbook page (of our previous snow day in January) where Christopher is actually playing in the snow :)

Enjoyed crafting today :) Some days Christopher is okay with me crafting and spending the day at my desk & other days he gets really MAD if I stay downstairs.

Doing What I Do Best

Remember the erin condren address book I reviewed a few blog entries ago? (Here is a reminder: erin condren address book review)

Well... I made post-its for it :)

We call this a "dashboard"

I also decorated the hubs valentine card (but that is under lock & key until Valentines Day) So you guys can see it then :)

This is all for today! :)

Erin Condren Address Book Review...

Hello Everyone! :) Today will be a review about the new address book I just bought from erincondren.com
*I am not being paid by erin condren to write this review, nor was this address book given to me by erin condren for review*
They come in a very pretty box as you can see above.
Once you open the box your address book comes wrapped in very pretty tissue paper, and bubble wrap. The envelope on top are some "sample" gift labels that have my name on it :) On the inside there are some more gift labels that either have " A Little Something From:" and are blank or have "A Little Something From: the anderson family"

Our Address Book :) The front cover is a very hard laminate, and the binding is aluminum. I chose the Candy Lace Design, but instead of Mocha I chose Black.
It says: the anderson family and underneath that it states: snail mail

The address book itself does not have tabs, however it does have different colors for the letters to separate, so I will be adding my own tabs after I make them with my laminator.

It costs $38.00 and I chose 2-3 day shipping which was $11.95. However; They have an AMAZING referral program which I have been utilizing like CRAZY! I did not pay anything for this address book--- because of all the referrals I have acquired :)

I have also posted a more in-depth review on YOUTUBE so if you're interested, I welcome you to check it out :)

And if you're interested in learning more about erin condren and the fabulous stationary products she offers please feel welcome to use my link & you can get $10 off your next purchase!!! :)

I hope you enjoyed my review & come back for more soon!
